The announcement was made following a meeting attended by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Minister of Social Security, Women, and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur. The meeting also included the presence of Special Chief Secretary of Social Security, Women, and Child Development, Rajiv P. Srivastava; Director of the Women and Child Development Department, Dr. Sheena Aggarwal; Principal Secretary of Finance, Ajoy Kumar Sinha; Deputy Director Amarjeet Singh Bhullar; and Special Secretary Vimmi Bhullar.
